Completely reusable alloy rings delivering zero-leak containment under extreme processing cycles.
Unlike flat soft gaskets that degrade as line pressure rises, the CofferLok metal seal ring utilizes system pressure to increase its contact force. Internal line pressure pushes against the inside wall of the ring, forcing the sealing lips tighter against the hub pockets.
Because CofferLok seal rings rely on elastic deformation rather than crush/plastic deformation, they do not experience permanent warping. They can be safely reused across dozens of piping maintenance turnarounds.
Forged from high-grade carbon steel, stainless steel, or nickel alloys, our seal rings operate securely in environments ranging from cryogenic temperatures up to 1,500°F (815°C) and pressures over 20,000 psi.
Rings can be supplied with PTFE, silver plating, or zinc coatings to reduce installation friction, improve micro-sealing on minor hub scratches, and prevent galling in corrosive environments.
Piping joints fail primarily due to gasket creep, relaxation, and thermal shock. The CofferLok metal-to-metal ring maintains a consistent, rigid contact area that is immune to thermal shock and process cycling.
Perfect for volatile air pollutants (VOC) lines, sour gas service, superheated steam, and offshore production pipelines where seal failures are unacceptable.
